  • All-purpose flour (1 cup estimate)
  • Buttermilk (1 cup estimate)
  • Oil for frying
  • Honey (2 tbsp)
  • Butter (2 tbsp)
  • Salt (to taste)

Steps:

Cut the chicken into real small bite-sized pieces.

Brine the chicken pieces in homemade pickle juice for about an hour.

Set up your dredging station with flour, buttermilk, and flour in separate containers.

Coat the chicken: first dip in flour, then in buttermilk, and finally in flour again.

Heat oil to 375°F. Fry the chicken until it reaches an internal temperature of 165°F. Once cooked, remove and let it cool.
